What is RCS (Round Cornered Squares)?
Round Cornered Squares (RCS) are semi-finished long products featuring a square cross-section with slightly rounded edges. This shape improves metal flow during forging, enhances fatigue resistance, and reduces tool wear.
RCS is preferred in closed-die forging, re-rolling, and metal forming processes, as it allows better filling of dies and more consistent deformation compared to sharp-edged billets.
